Jules is based in the Netherlands and has been working as an independent Senior Technical Advisor for FSSC 22000 since January 2014. By trade he is a veterinarian with a wide-ranging experience in the food industry, animal health and welfare, animal disease eradication and with extensive knowledge legislation, quality and safety standards. Jules Rojer graduated in 1987 as a veterinary surgeon from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University. After graduation, he worked for more than 16 years at various departments of the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and the Ministry of Economic Affairs (formerly the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality) including the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority. At these ministries he worked at departments with responsibility for formulating and implementing policy for the food industry, animal welfare and export. Jules worked for 5 years at the Netherlands Controlling Authority for Milk and Milk Products (COKZ). Starting as a Veterinary Staff member Strategy and Innovation and later as interim External Operations Manager. He also worked for six years as Operations Manager at Qlip B.V., a Dutch Certification Body specialized in dairy and dairy production chain certification. With his wide-ranging experience in the food industry he has extensive knowledge of numerous aspects of the food business and food safety and quality standards. His main focus is the FSSC 22000 Portal and technical support for FSSC 22000.
