Certification Integrity Manager

An exciting opportunity to join the Foundation FSSC team for the role of Certification Integrity Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and continual improvement of the certification integrity processes for Licensed Partners. You will coach, mentor other team members, and work closely with management, peers, and licensed partners in this role.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Developing, managing, and overseeing the effective implementation and sustainability of the Certification Integrity processes in line with the Integrity Program (IP) overall strategy.
  • Responsible for the development of the tactical plan for the area, performance criteria (KPIs), and its execution aligned with the IP Direction Strategies.
  • You will spearhead key initiatives and a portfolio of continual improvement projects for the area.
  • Responsible for the management and competence qualification/monitoring of IP Assessors.
  • Analysis of data related to certification integrity processes and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical review of certification integrity assessment reports and resolution of escalated issues resulting from findings.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor degree in a technical area (Engineering, Science, Mathematics), preferably in Quality or Food-related fields.
  • At least 8-10 years experience in a regulated industry, including 3-5 years in a managerial position with direct subordinates and at least two (2) years in the Certification industry.
  • An up-to-date knowledge of Food Safety Standards, Certification and Accreditation requirements.
  • Experience in the development of tactical plans, KPIs monitoring and reporting, and presentation of performance results at the direction level.
  • People management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English: knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage.
  • Strong intercultural awareness and sensitivity skills able to work in an international environment within a people-oriented organization. The official working language is English.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools implementation would be an advantage (Lean, 6 Sigma, TQM, WCM).
  • Based in Europe (preferably Netherlands).
  • Behavioral skills: enthusiastic, team player, adaptable to other cultures, energetic, fun to work with, problem solver.

As Product Owner, you will be responsible for focusing on developing the FSSC software platform for its 25,000 customers worldwide. This platform:

  • Stores all vital quality- and certification data
  • Provides market insights
  • Provides possibilities to share data between producers and suppliers in a secure way

You will represent the stakeholders and the customers’ voices, communicating with the external development teams.

Technical Manager

An exciting opportunity to join the Foundation FSSC team for the role of Technical Manager is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of all technical aspects of the relevant Scheme(s). You will coach, mentor other team members, and work closely with management, peers, and licensed partners in this role.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the development of the tactical plan for the area, performance criteria (KPIs), and its execution aligned with the Technical Strategy.
  • Developing, managing, and overseeing the effective implementation of the Technical processes to deliver the Technical Strategy.
  • Maintenance and development of the Scheme(s) and driving continual improvement to ensure they remain robust and accepted in the marketplace.
  • Spearheading key initiatives and the portfolio of continual improvement projects for the area.
  • Knowledge and support management for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the management and competence of direct reports.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience 

  • Bachelor degree in Science, preferably in Food or Quality related fields.
  • At least 8-10 years experience in a regulated industry, including more than five (5) years of experience in food safety/quality management systems auditing and third-party certification management in an international environment.
  • In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of relevant Scheme(s), ISO, IAF, and GFSI requirements.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • International project management experience.
  • Experience in development of tactical plans at a managerial level, KPIs, monitoring and reporting, and presentation of performance results to senior management.
  • People management experience (3-5 years).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English: knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage.
