Key Statistics Q1 - Q3 2014

22 December 2014 - The first three quarters of 2014 have been dynamic for FSSC 22000. After the first months of 2014 we presented FSSC 22000 at the GFSI Conference in Anaheim, launched a new website and organized an Information Seminar in Bangkok. In the second quarter we participated in numerous food safety events and seminars and organized two webinars. Our Board of Stakeholders re-elected Fons Schmid as its chairman, and last but not least we extended the scope of the scheme. We now cover food manufacturing, packaging and animal feed.

In the first quarter we saw a growing demand for FSSC 22000 worldwide. And this demand continued to grow in the second quarter. With 103 licensed CBs and the number of certified sites having grown to almost 9000 from less than 1000 at the beginning of 2012, it is evident that there is a growing demand for GFSI recognized FSSC 22000 certification of food safety management systems troughout the supply chain.

FSSC 22000 boasts certified sites in 149 countries, with 1400+ auditors and 15 Licensed Training Organizations. With this growing global presence, FSSC 22000 remains the only non-profit ISO-based food safety management scheme recognized by GFSI.
