Webinars: FSSC 22000 FSMA Addendum

Early gap analyses of FSSC 22000 against FSMA suggested that the FSSC 22000 Scheme requirements are in large measure comparable to those of the Preventive Controls rules. A subsequent in depth analysis identified minor differences and the absence of specific legislative details.

FSSC 22000 is publishing a FSMA addendum to the FSSC 22000 audit that will help users share information required to support their supply chain program and to facilitate foreign and domestic supplier verification. The addendum identifies the FSMA specific requirements that might not be included in a FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System Audit so that certified facilities can integrate the extra requirements into their Food Safety Management System. This addendum will be available soon for use during any audit of the 18,000 FSSC 22000 certified organizations around the world.

On 25 June 2018 two webinars hosted by US Representative Jacqueline Southee, Market Development Manager Cor Groenveld and IP Assessor Angelie Jansen-Beuvink will be dedicated to FSMA and the soon to be published FSSC 22000 FSMA Addendum. The webinars are free of charge and now open for registration.
